Jae Shin Noh

Violinist Jae-shin Noh began her musical studies at the age of eleven in South Korea under Nam Yoon Kim, and made her solo debut just one year later with the Korean Symphony Orchestra. She has since appeared as a soloist with orchestras and performed extensively in Korea, Europe, and the United States as both a soloist and chamber musician, earning recognition in numerous competitions along the way.

Ms. Noh has participated in distinguished festivals including the Encore School for Strings, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Shun Yin International Summer Music Festival, Seoul International Violin Festival, Gdańsk International Violin Workshop, and the Great Mountains Music Festival. There she had the opportunity to work with Krzysztof Węgrzyn, Igor Ozim, Victor Danchenko, Almita Vamos, Wanda Wiłkomirska, Pamela Frank, Kyung Sun Lee, and members of the Emerson String Quartet.

She received her early training at Seoul Arts High School and the Korea National University of Arts before continuing her studies in the United States with Robert Chen and Choong-Jin Chang at the Temple University Preparatory Division. Ms. Noh earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University under Martin Beaver and Keng-Yuen Tseng, and holds an Artist Diploma from the Korea National University of Arts, where she studied again under Nam Yoon Kim. She is a founding member of the Washington Chamber Orchestra.

Ms. Noh has taught at Yewon Arts Middle School and Mokwon University, and her students have won competitions, been accepted into All-State ensembles, and gained admission to leading music schools.
